Eficiencia del sistema de microdrenaje en la cuenca del arroyo alto Pindaíba en Goiânia (GO)

Resumen

Brazilian urban areas recurrently present problems, such as flooding, floods, and erosion processes. In Goiânia, the capital of the state of Goiás, environmental projects, such as the Macambira-Anicuns Urban Environmental Program, carried out the recovery of environmental degradation and urban requalification with the implementation of adequate infrastructure, however, in one of the main springs of the project's target area there is a historical erosive process in an accelerated process of evolution for which the question arises whether its existence would be associated with the remote action of the spring or external influence of the micro drainage system. The objective of this work was to identify the effectiveness of the micro drainage system draining the area of direct influence of the Pindaíba Stream, where erosion is located. The methodological procedures involved the use of the Digital Terrain Model to delimit the zone of direct influence of surface runoff and, the definition of a classification key to evaluate the function and efficiency of microdrainage and field visits. The results showed the inefficiency of the area's micro drainage system (90% of storm drains are compromised); surface runoff in streets is not collected and is directed towards the erosion process. Mapping the effectiveness of the micro drainage system becomes a product for public authorities to act to solve the problem.
