THE NATURAL RESOURCE IN THE CONTEXT OF WATER SHORTAGE: THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN SOCIAL STRETCH HIGH RIVER BASIN PAJEÚ PERNAMBUCO
Abstract
The natural resource water composes the group of the natural elements essential to the existence and perpetuation of life on Earth, is a limiting factor for human development. The access and the good management of water have been a historical concern in the Brazilian semiarid region, since the region has climatic characteristics of concentration of rainfall in a short period of time and prolonged cyclical droughts. In this context, simple technologies and able of to tap directly capture rainwater or water courses have been applied in the area, as an economic and environmentally efficient solution for the basic problems of the local population, especially in the ambit of access to the water for domestic consumption and for small family subsistence production. Thus, the search by logic of sociability, for piece of local population, with the characteristics of the Brazilian semiarid, raisin, necessarily by formulation, execution and accompaniment of these social technologies.
